  1. This should stay firm at room temperature like coconut oil does since there is still some fat in the recipe. Shelf life should be a long time in a cool, dry place. Great for gifts.
Our doTerra Hair Conditioner also makes a great shaving cream. Add 4-5 drops of favorite Essential Oil and give as prizes or gifts.

  2. Hi,
Is there a specific reason why you use fractionated coconut oil? Could I use just coconut oil or replace the fractionated coconut oil with any other oil/butter?

  3. What does the sandalwood oil do in this recipe? Can it be replaced with something else or left out if I don’t own it yet?

  4. I have the same question as a previous commenter. Will this clog drains? In oil pulling, it’s said not to spit the coconut oil into the sink because of plumbing issues.
